End of an era! John Peel dies at age 65

John Peel was one of the single most important people in British alternative music, very sad to see he's gone - the world will be a slightly less colourful place from now on...

He'll be missed.

John Peel broke my brother's band, Trumans Water, back in the early nineties. He ran across their first album and played it beginning to end on BBC radio. It was not an easy listening album. If someone did that in the US they'd be strung up for deviating from the survey driven hit lists.

John Peel had guts.
